How it works
Take the photo and the analysis starts right away. If the photo cannot be used, you are sent back to the camera with the reason.

Take a photo
Phone camera or upload, your choice. Stand near a window in daylight, skip the filter, and look straight at the lens. It is analyzed the moment you take it.

Answer five questions
What your breakouts look like, how your skin feels most days, how many steps you are willing to do, how much you already know, and what you want to spend. There is no wrong answer to any of them.

Get your routine
A morning plan and an evening plan built around breakouts. Each step says how much product to use, when to use it, and why it is there. If a step can irritate, the plan says so before you buy anything.
What a plan looks like
This is the plan we would give someone with combination skin and regular breakouts who asked for a middle-sized routine. Three steps in the morning, three at night. Yours will look like this, with steps swapped in and out based on what you tell us.
Amounts on every step
A coin of cleanser, a blueberry of moisturizer, two finger lengths of sunscreen. Because "apply moisturizer" tells you nothing.
Actives start slowly
The salicylic acid step begins at two nights a week with a patch test. If your skin reacts, you will know what caused it.
Short on purpose
Three steps you do every day will do more than eight steps you do twice a week.
Morning
| # | Step | How much | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Gentle cleanser Lifts overnight oil without leaving skin tight. | A coin-sized amount | Once each morning |
| 2 | Lightweight moisturizer Non-comedogenic hydration that supports the skin barrier. | A blueberry-sized amount | Every morning |
| 3 | Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher Protects against UV and keeps post-acne marks from getting darker. | Two finger lengths for face and neck | Every day |
Evening
| # | Step | How much | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Gentle cleanser Removes sunscreen, makeup, oil, and the day's buildup. | A coin-sized amount | Every evening |
| 2 | Salicylic acid treatment The usual first acne active. Helps keep pores clear of the plugs that turn into breakouts. Can irritate. Patch test, start slowly, and stop if skin stings or peels. | A thin, even layer | Patch test first |
| 3 | Barrier moisturizer Keeps skin hydrated while it adjusts to an active ingredient. | A blueberry-sized amount | Every evening |
What a photo can and cannot tell us.
A photo shows the surface: bumps, shine, redness, and the dark marks old breakouts leave behind. It does not show what is happening underneath, and we will not pretend it does.
Skinli does
- Describe what we can see in your photo, using words like appears rather than verdicts
- Build an acne routine with the number of steps you asked for, not the number a brand wants to sell
- Explain what each product type does and how to add it without irritating your skin
- Say plainly when your acne needs a doctor instead of another product
Skinli does not
- Diagnose acne or grade how bad it is
- Guess your age, ethnicity, or anything about your health
- Keep your photo, unless you sign in and choose to save your plan
- Promise clear skin by a date
Skin school
Six short lessons on the ingredients and habits behind most acne routines. Each one says what the step does, how to start it, and what to do if your skin reacts badly.
What salicylic acid does
The usual first active for breakouts and blackheads. It works inside the pore, which is also why it can sting.
Read the lessonWhat a moisturizer actually does
It slows water loss from the skin. Oily skin needs it too, just a lighter one.
Read the lessonWhy sunscreen matters for acne-prone skin
Sunlight darkens the marks that breakouts leave behind. Daily SPF 30 or higher protects the skin you are trying to fix.
Read the lessonThe complete plan
Right now everything is open. When checkout launches, Skinli+ will cover the evening acne routine, product guidance, the daily tracker, and daily progress photos with reminders. You will see the price, the billing period, and how to cancel before you pay anything.

Common questions
Answers to what people ask before they take a photo.
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. We describe what is visible in your photo and combine it with your answers. That is education, not a diagnosis. A dermatologist can tell you things a photo cannot.
What kind of acne is this for?
Everyday breakouts: whiteheads, blackheads, the odd red bump, and the dark marks they leave behind. If your acne is painful, cystic, or spreading, your results will say so and point you to a doctor.
What happens to my photo?
It goes to the analysis service and nowhere else. We only keep it if you sign in and choose to save your plan. The privacy page has the details.
Do I need to remove makeup?
It helps, because makeup hides texture and tone. If you cannot take it off, that is fine. Most of the plan comes from your answers anyway.
Can Skinli help with severe acne?
Not on its own. Painful, cystic, or worsening acne needs a doctor, who can prescribe things we cannot. If your answers point that way, your results will say so instead of pretending a cleanser will fix it.
How many products will I need?
As few as three. A simple plan is cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen in the morning, and cleanser, one acne treatment, and moisturizer at night. You can add more later if you want to.
How long until I see fewer breakouts?
Give a routine six to eight weeks before you judge it. Skin replaces its outer layer over about a month, so nothing honest works in days. Daily photos make the slow change easier to see.
Start with one photo.
It takes about two minutes, and you do not need an account to see your acne routine.
